Grace, Goals, and Fresh Starts

Hey you guys!

I am so sorry I left you without a dope beat to step to. When I tell you, September turned me every which way but loose—whew, my goodness! Nevertheless, I press on.

When I resurrected my blog, I was so excited—obviously! But somewhere in that excitement, I let it morph into something else. I started piling expectations onto myself. Not that posting biweekly is unrealistic, but I realized I needed to extend grace toward myself.

I’m a lady who wears many hats. I have big dreams and ambitions. Someone once told me that I dream too big—and I can’t lie, that stuck with me. It made me wonder: Am I unrealistic in the things I want to pursue? Do I live in the land of delulu? Was bringing my blog back a mistake?

But here’s the truth: I don’t believe God places dreams and goals inside of us for no reason. Nothing about Him is accidental. I truly believe He plants ideas and desires in us to unlock gifts we may not even realize we have.

And that brings me right back to this blog. Maybe—just maybe—the gifts He’s placed in me will be displayed here.

So let me encourage you: give yourself grace. Maybe you set goals for September that didn’t happen the way you planned. Maybe you didn’t execute everything on your list. Guess what? October is literally tomorrow. A brand-new month. A fresh 31 days to try again.

The goal doesn’t change—sometimes just the plan does. Don’t let what you called a “failure” in September define how you step into October. Please believe, I’m taking my own advice!

October will be a month of wins

October will be a month of overflow

October will be a month of clarity.

We’re celebrating every single win, big or small. And I can’t wait to see what you accomplish.
