The Rebuild: Reviving My Voice, My Work, and My Calling

Hey,

I know, it’s been a while.

If you’ve been following me for any length of time, you know life has taken me through some twists, turns, and straight-up roller coaster loops over the past few years. I’ve moved to Georgia and moved again. I’ve had seasons where I experienced so much joy and happiness. Seasons where I felt like I lost myself completely — and seasons where I didn’t think I’d ever get “me” back.

But here I am. Starting over and to be honest, I'm not mad about this.

I used to think “starting over” meant erasing and forgetting everything, going back to square one. Now I know it’s not about erasing or forgetting — it’s about rebuilding. It’s taking the same bricks life tried to break you with and stacking them into something new, something stronger.... something that can withstand the storms.

A big part of my starting over has been healing from an abusive relationship and lots of disappointments. That kind of hurt has a way of stealing not just your joy, but your sense of self. I had to strip away lies, shame, and fear to rediscover the truth: I am who God says I am. Nothing less. Period.

In May 2024, I was ordained as a minister — something I never saw coming, talk about a jump scare! But God has been preparing me for this all along. That moment wasn’t just a title or a ceremony; it was confirmation that my voice, my story, and my calling matter.

So, here’s what’s new:

  • Rae’s Corner is officially here. This is my corner of the internet for real, unfiltered conversations about life, faith, and growth. It’s also where I get to bring a little bit of me into the mix — my love for God, family, and music that feeds the soul. I’m the type who loves deep conversations, good food, and laughter that makes your cheeks hurt. What I don’t love? Fake vibes, small talk that doesn’t go anywhere, or spaces where people can’t show up as their true selves. So, if you’re here, come as you are. This corner is about honesty, healing, and finding joy in the everyday things that make life full.

  • Monthly Curated Playlist: As a subscriber, you’ll get a carefully curated playlist each month — a mix of inspirational music and songs I’ve been vibing to that month. Think of it as a little soundtrack to your journey with me.

  • Thrive Alliance Life Coaching is stepping into a new season. I’m coaching with more depth, more honesty, and more heart — helping women discover their identity, align with their purpose, and actually live it. Be on the lookout for more details!

If you’re here because you’re starting over too, I want you to know you’re not broken, you’re being rebuilt. Your story isn’t over; it’s turning a page. You don’t have to have it all figured out to take your first step.

Here’s to fresh starts, God’s timing, and walking boldly into what’s next.

Stay real, stay faithful... keep shining— Rae 💛
